Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood is a comedy parody film that was written by and stars the Wayans brothers Shawn and Marlon. Shawn Wayans stars as Ashtray, a hardened dimwitted homeboy who returns to his Ôhood Ôin South Central Los Angeles to live with his father (Lahmard Tate), who he is older and more mature than, and his pot-smoking grandmother (Helen Martin). He reconnects with his best buddy and cousin Loc Dog (Marlon Wayans), a gang-banger who considers that a thermonuclear warhead is apart of his arsenal of weapons. Tray (Ashtray) gets an accelerated crash course about living life on the streets from his pistol packing and more often than not psychotic cousin. While trying to cope with his new life and the stress of inner city living, he falls in love with beautiful and enigmatic Daishiki (Tracey Cherelle Jones). This goofy satire of gritty, urban movies from the early 1990's is a comedic spoof on movies such as Boyz N the Hood, Juice, Higher Learning and Menace II Society.moreless
