Double, Double, Toil and Trouble is a children's Halloween film directed by Stuart Margolin that follows two young twin girls as they rush to free their great aunt from a curse set on her by her own evil twin. Kelly and Lynn Farmer (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) had only wanted to enjoy their Halloween but when they found out their parents were struggling to save their home. When their great aunt Agatha (Cloris Leachman) cold-heartedly refuses to loan them any money, the girls begin to wonder about the truth behind the disappearance of Agatha's own twin sister Sophia, who supposedly is much nicer than the cantankerous Agatha. Rushing out on their own dressed as little witches, the two decide to search for the mystical moonstone Agatha supposedly used to trap her sister as they meet a variety of helpful and comical characters, such as a clown named Oscar (Phil Fondacaro), a cowardly gravedigger (Wayne Robson), and a poor Mr. N (Meshach Taylor) along the way. Kelly and Lynn have been able to take on the scary bumps of their adventure together but when Agatha begins to strike at their hopes for individuality, can the girls come back together as one to break the curse and free their aunt Sophia?moreless
