Down With Love is a 2003 American romantic comedy film by director Peyton Reed, starring Ewan McGregor, Renee Zellweger, David Hyde Pierce, and Sarah Paulson in a cute flash back to early 1960s 'sex comedies.' Zellweger is Barbara Novak, a feminist author who is in New York City to present her new book, Down With Love, to the publisher Banner House. Unsurprisingly, the men of Banner House are less than supportive of her manifesto, which centers around themes of freeing women from the emotional ties of loving men. Her only hope to promote the book is now to work with notorious ladies' man Catcher Block (Ewan McGregor). Between his ego and her attitude, the friction is there before the two even meet. But where there's friction, there are bound to be sparks and a fledgling romance begins to emerge between the unlikely couple. Will they be able to change each other and make things work? Down With Love is a fun, light-hearted comedy for romance fans everywhere.moreless
