Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: A Historical Perspective is a 2003 documentary which chronicles the life of a man who left an indelible mark on American history and world history. His passion for equality and justice led him from his work as a small town pastor in Alabama to an international movement, which would bring about a long overdue revolution for the country. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: A Historical Perspective explores his biography through interviews and rarely seen film footage and photography. It cites notes from his writings which explain how his thought life grew through the course of his career. Even his self-doubt is laid bare as he approached his eventual martyrdom. King's life remains an inspiration to the generations that come after him, and the Civil Rights Movement has now restructured the mainstream values of America. The video is a fascinating retrospect from a generation that first elected an African-American President.
