Drunken Master is the 1978 kung-fu classic starring Jackie Chan. This is the first in the Drunken Master series and mixes traditional Chinese action/legend storytelling with Jackie Chan's remarkable physical comedy. Chan plays Wong Fei-Hung, a hot-tempered undisciplined youth. After getting into a number of ill-chosen fights that shame his father, Wong learns he is to study with Beggar So (the master of drunken kung-fu style of the 8 immortals) who is known for being particularly brutal to his students. Wong flees to escape the training but soon finds himself in a fight he can not win alone. The fight attracts an old drunk who's surprising kung-fu form proves impenetrable to Wong's attackers. The stumbling stranger turns out to be Beggar So and Wong decides to study under him and learn this amazing style. He uses his new found skill and discipline to defeat his father's business rival who comes after them with force.
