Duel At Apache Wells chronicles the story of Johnny Shattuck (Ben Cooper), a young man who has gone away for some time and upon his return, is hit with a few surprises. He is plagued by an enemy rancher, Dean Cannary (Jim Davis), who has eyes not for only Johnny's family's ranch, but for his girlfriend as well. Dean isn't afraid to show his feelings for her and even taunts Johnny about the issue. He has gone as far as cutting off the water to Johnny's ranch in an attempt to drive out the family. Johnny holds his composure and is passive about the situation at first. He eventually gets fed up with Dean and challenges him to an armed challenge. At first, it looks bleak for Johnny; if he isn't able to come up with a crafty scheme, he may be forced out of his ranch forever. Duel At Apache was written in 1957 and directed by Joseph Kane.
