Duel of the Titans follows the tale of Romulus (Steve Reeves) and Remus (Gordon Scott) as they rise from penniless orphans to founders of the great Italian city of Rome. The twins are born to a mortal mother, who, ashamed after her liaison with one of the Gods, leaves them to die by a riverside. A mother wolf comes across them, and raises them until they are discovered by a kindly sheep herder. The two of them grow up to be strong and charming, and want to help their adoptive father and the people of their city by overthrowing King Amulius (Franco Volpi). However, after winning the battle, Remus begins to grow corrupt by the power, and Romulus, distracted by the beautiful daughter of the king, Julia (Virna Lisi), cannot see it in time to stop it. The two of them must fight for the sake of Rome, and the two brothers are equally matched. Who could win in this duel of the titans?moreless
