Dunsmore is a true-life story about a strange murder in a small Florida town. In the film, detective Walter Taylor (Kadeem Hardison) is sent into a small southern town to help investigate the murder of Ronny Roy Pritcher (W. Earl Brown). At first no one in the town wants to tell this out-of-town detective anything, and he starts to get a little frustrated. He realizes that every town has its share of secrets and he just has to find the right person to tell him theirs. Even the local officer, Sheriff Miller (Rus Blackwell) does not seem to be telling him the entire story. Eventually, Walter learns that Ronny was considered to be the town bully and spent years terrorizing half of the town. While this may help his investigation, Walter soon learns that almost everyone in the town had reasons for wanting to kill Ronny, making his suspect list longer than he would like.
