Eagle's Wing is a 1979 English film directed by Anthony Harvey and starring Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston, Harvey Keitel, and Stephane Audran. Though filmed in Europe, the film is a western story that concerns Pike (Sheen), an easterner who moves out west to become a trapper. As he develops his skills, he is able to compete with Comanche chief White Bull (Waterston) for a wild stallion that is yet untamable. Before he earns a chance to compete, however, a party of warriors attacks a stagecoach, Pike, and his friend Henry. When Henry is killed, Pike is left to fend for himself with only a mule. The latter half of the movie involves epic chase scenes and daring stunts, solidifying its place as a classic western. Eagle's Wing won the Best Cinematography Award at the 1979 British Society of Cinematographers Awards.
