Easy Money is the iconic 1983 American comedy film that cemented Rodney Dangerfield's place in comedy history. Monty Capuletta (Rodney Dangerfield) is the pot-smoking, heavy drinking, gambling son-in-law of Mrs. Monahan (Geraldine Fitzgerald), a wealthy department store owner. Monty, who works as a baby photographer, has always raised the ire of Mrs. Monahan and the old lady makes no bones about her distaste for Monty. When Mrs. Monahan passes away, Monty learns of the stipulation to his inheritance - either he straightens up and stops drinking and gambling or he receives nothing; if he can turn his life around he'll inherit $10 million dollars. Monty must battle his own demons, as well as the ill-intentions of jealous friends, and Mrs. Monahan's scheming assistant, if he is to succeed and claim his inheritance. For all his hard living ways, Monty is a family man and is determined to provide for his family. Will Mrs. Monahan win the battle from the grave? Or can Monty Capuletta really change his ways?moreless
