Movie Summary

Jane Weinstock
Easy is a 2003 romantic comedy by director Jane Weinstock, starring Marguerite Moreau, Brian F. O'Byrne, Naveen Andrews, and Emily Deschanel. The movie is about Jamie Harris (Marguerite Moreau), a witty, sexy young woman with an unexpected problem: she is what she calls a "jerk magnet." With her, the string of "mr. Wrongs" seems never ending and her promiscuous life of short lived affairs, glorified one night stands in actuality, is quite the opposite of her sister's calm life with her steady boyfriend. Jamie cannot help but envy the security of her sister's lifestyle, especially since she lost her mother to suicide at a young age and her father, who blames himself for the suicide, has only been a shadow of himself ever since the tragic event. So when Jamie starts dating her former professor, John Kalicharan (Naveen Andrews), she thinks that she is finally in for the secure, grown up, loving relationship that she deserves. That is, until Mick McCabe (Brian F. O'Byrne), a TV show host, unexpectedly enters her life. Will Jamie ever be able to settle down and commit to Mr. Right? Easy is rated R for some strong sexual content, language, and brief drug use.moreless
