Eat the Rich is a 1988 British comedy written and directed by Peter Richardson which tells the story of a troubled waiter who dreams of revenge on the rich clients he is bound to serve. Alex (Alan Pellay) is a frustrated waiter who works in a high-class restaurant in London named 'Bastards'. He has been repeatedly punished for being rude with the wealthy customers and has been finally fired for not changing his bad habits. After being the witness of a terrorist attack on an embassy, Alex decides to assemble a group of anarchists who are to rebel against authorities and the government who protects the rich. Two colorful figures, General Karpov (Dave Beard) and Commander Fortune (Ronald Allen) are plotting to organize a people's rebellion against the government and prevent Home Secretary (Nosher Powell), who stopped the terrorist attacks, from becoming the prime minister. They are eager to use Alex's anarchist gang as a weapon in their fight.
