While Cooper is struggling to overcome his problems, his team hires a new mascot, Ed, who is a chimpanzee. An unfortunate twist forces Cooper and Ed to become roommates. Little does he know, the struggling pitcher finds exactly what he needs. Cooper's newfound friendship helps him unlock his enormous potential and become the team's star pitcher, while Ed is busy becoming the slick-fielding third baseman. Their friendship ends up helping Cooper in more than baseball; he learns to open his heart and live a better life. Ed is a family film that provides some valuable lessons for kids. It also produces entertaining scenes with some slapstick monkey antics and various scenarios from America's pastime.
