Eight Days a Week is the 1997 indie romantic comedy starring Keri Russel, and is now available on Netflix. Joshua Schaefer leads this quirky story as Peter, a loser high school graduate who decides to finally go for it with his life long crush, hotty with a body Erica (Russell). With the advice of his half senile, but romantic, Italian grandfather Nonno, Peter decides to camp out on Erika's front lawn, under her window, all summer until she realizes she loves him back. With the help of his depraved watermelon loving best friend, Peter must face his disapproving father, an seductive widow, and Erica's alpha male boyfriend to prove himself and win the heard of his "amore". After several weeks of nothing but constant embarassment, Erica comes to Peter for help and the pair start talking. As the summer progresses, so does their relationship. The film was written and directed by Michael Davis, and receives its title from the hit Beatles song.
