Eight on the Lam is an of the wall comedy about a father who is suspected of embezzlement and forced to leave town. Henry Dimsdale (Bob Hope) is a loyal bank worker, with seven loving kids at home, which means seven mouths to feed. Working hard to keep food on the table, his fortunes seem to change when he finds a large sum of money in the parking lot of the bank one day. With the help of the kids and his faithful housekeeper Golda (Phyllis Diller), Henry tries to find the rightful owner of the cash, but when no one comes forward to claim it, he figures it is indeed his lucky day. But just as the Dimsdales are getting used to their new found wealth, the bank reports a loss of money, and Henry looks, to everyone, guilty of embezzlement. Fearing the worst and being pursued by Golda's detective boyfriend Jasper Lynch (Jonathan Winters), Henry packs up the kids and heads out on the lam, embarking upon an outrageous journey filled with hilarity and high jinks. George Marshall directs this classic comedy that also stars sexy bond girls to be Shirley Eaton and Jill St. John.moreless
