El Paso Kid is a Golden Age Western about crime, camaraderie, and redemption. Sunset Carson (played by Sunset Carson) and Hank Patterson (Jeff Winters) are members of a gang of robbers carrying out a stagecoach heist. But when Patterson is wounded, no one but Carson stands up to come to his aid. Fed up, Carson and Patterson quit the gang and set out on their own, declaring they "don't like traveling with mongrels." Soon after, the two catch their former gang in the middle of another stagecoach robbery and aim to claim it for themselves. Mistaking this as an act of great heroism, sheriff's daughter Sally Stoner (Marie Harmon) greets the men with a heroes' welcome and gets them security jobs from the stage line. Although Patterson sees this as his chance to go straight, Carson plans only to exploit his position to pull the ultimate heist and retire in luxury. The men will have to reconsider both of their plans when their old gang comes back around.moreless
