Electra Glide in Blue is a 1973 movie about John "Big John" Wintergreen (Robert Blake), an Arizona motorcycle cop. He patrols the Arizona highways with his partner Zipper (Billy Green Bush), but what John truly wants is a promotion to the police force's homicide unit. One day, Detective Poole (Mitch Ryan) grants his wish when a hermit is mysteriously killed. John soon learns that he hates working in the unit, and the force quickly demotes him back to traffic enforcer when Detective Poole learns that John slept with his girlfriend Jolene (Jeannine Riley). Despite the demotion, John still works on the murder case. Another tragedy then develops with his partner leaving someone dead. The film concludes with John pulling over a vehicle during a routine traffic stop, only for futher drama to unfold. James William Guercio directs this mystery drama full of action and suspense that leaves the viewer shocked with the result.
