Movie Summary

Jon Favreau

Elf tells the story of Buddy, a six foot-three inch tall elf who works in Santa's Shop, and suddenly finds out that he is human. He finally realizes why, after all these years, he never quite fit in the showers and tiny beds. Santa tells Buddy that his real father is on the 'naughty list' and Buddy sets out to help. After travelling all the way to New York City, Buddy finds his father, Walter, and his wife Emily and their young son Michael. Unable to convince Walter that Buddy is his son, Buddy is forced to work at a local department store where he meets Jovie. With the help of a DNA test, Emily makes Walter take Buddy into their home and puts up with his crazy Christmas antics. Buddy is determined to save Walter from the naughty list and bring back Christmas Spirit.
