Ellie Parker is a 2005 film about one young aspiring actor living in Los Angeles, whose great talent does nothing to relieve the feelings of hopelessness that follow her from audition to audition. Ellie Parker has a dream to make it big in Hollywood. Shes beautiful and young, and brutally aware those things wont last forever. She races around town on a quest for the perfect role. She practically lives on the highways of LA, changing clothes, applying make-up, and yelling into her cell phone as she covers the many miles between her auditions. As she continually get turned down for roles, Ellie has to decide where her life is going and if its worth the hassle. Naomi Watts turns in a brilliant performance as Ellie, clearly drawing on her own experience as a once-struggling actor. Rebecca Rigg plays Ellies best friend Sam, another aspiring artist and a beacon of hope for ellie. Mark Pellegrino plays Ellies unfulfilling boyfriend, and Chevy Chase appears as Ellies agent.
