Entry Level is a comedy about people who lose their jobs and find that starting over is tougher than they expected. Clay Maguire (D.B. Sweeney) was a chef until his restaurant went bust. He is almost forty, bankrupt and desperate for a job, any job. In his travails, he encounters Liz (Missi Pyle), who is discovering that her time spent in the Peace Corps might have been good for her soul, but does little for her employability. He also meets Bob (Steve Ryan), who is trying to get back into the job market at 64 after losing his pension, but finds he is either too old or too young for everything he tries for. With some help from his homeless friend Nick (Kurtwood Smith), Clay faces a bizarre series of interviews and other strange events. The movie takes a look at the economy, the perils of job hunting and the difficulties, both mental and logistical, of starting over at the bottom.moreless
