Escape From Alaska is an adventure movie that follows the aftermath of a huge explosion caused by an oil refinery in a small town in Alaska. Several skiers are killed in the avalanche that follows and the only survivor, Dr Lia Freeman (Caroleen Feeney), is charged with overseeing the production of a new oil refinery. Having lost her husband in the accident, it is of utmost importance to her that extra steps be taken to prevent a similar disaster from ever occurring again. She is driven to stop a new oil pipeline from being built above the town because she foresees another avalanche, but she must take on a slew of money-hungry corporate professionals that would very much like to see the pipeline become a reality. This 1999 film was produced by Krsochel Films and directed by Steven Kroschel. Supporting cast include Neal Meekin (Thomas Ian Griffith), Kemp (John Ashton), and Jay Weston (Geoffrey Lower).
