ESPN: J.C. Chavez is a 2007 documentary film which tastefully narrates the life and times of Julio Cesar Chavez, Mexico's most celebrated boxer. The direction of the film was mainly helmed by renown Mexican actor Diego Luna, who has appeared in movies such as Y Tu Mam' Tambien and The Terminal. The film follows Chavez through some of his easiest wins as well as his toughest challenges, which include Hector "Macho" Camacho and Jose Luis Ramirez, to name a few. Despite his ups and downs, Chavez always comes out on top, winning approximately 93% of his games (only 8 losses in 116 matches). The documentary also includes several interviews and appearances by Don King, Mike Tyson, Bob Arum, Roger Mayweather, Juan Laporte, Tony Lopez, Frankie Randall, Oscar De La Hoya and Carlos Salinas. ESPN: J.C. Chavez is for all those who revel in the stories of boxing legends. The film may also be recommendable for those who enjoyed The Fighter and Raging Bull.moreless
