Evil Remains, also known as Trespassing, is a 2004 horror film by James Merendino (SLC Punk, A River Made to Drown In). In this slasher film, Merendino deviates artistically from his traditional genre and paints a haunting story about several young adults too curious for their own good. Mark (Daniel Gillies) is a graduate student who studies mythology. Part of his research requires him to visit an abandoned plantation where a series of murders might have taken place years ago. The house, of course, is nestled and hidden deep within the woods of Louisiana. Mark recruits several friends - Kristy (Estella Warren, Sharon (Ashley Scott), Eric (Jeff Davis) and Tyler (Clayne Crawford) - who willingly accompany him on his trip.
