Excalibur Kid is a 1999 children's fantasy film directed by James Head. Zack (Jason McSkimming) is a 15-year-old boy who loves fencing and admires the chivalry of knights. As he is walking through the woods one day, he magically travels back in time to medieval England, where he pulls a sword from a stone that makes him the new king of England. He does not realize that the dark sorceress Morgause (Francesca Scorsone) is the one who brought him back in time, and she magically tampered with sword so that he would pull it out before her brother, Arthur (Mac Fyfe). After legendary sorcerer Merlin (Francois Klanfer) tells Zach that Arthur is meant to be king, they join forces to make history right again by defeating the evil Morgause and restoring Arthur to his rightful place on the throne. With its epic sword fights, wizard duels, and adventurous plot, this family friendly film is fun for all ages.
