Faithful is a comedy film that was distributed by New Line Cinema in 1996. The movie was written by Chazz Palminteri and directed by Paul Mazursky. The movie follows Maggie (Cher), who is having some doubts about her husband and her marriage, around her 20th wedding anniversary. Her husband always seems to be around her less and less. After assuring his wife with stories of working late and being too busy, Jack (Ryan O'Neal) disappears again. Certain that her husband is having an affair, which would ruin her life, Maggie contemplates suicide. Before she can go through with the plans to end her own life, the story twists as someone shows up to Maggie, unexpectedly. Things take a turn for the strange as the unknown person and Maggie begin to talk. Maggie questions everything as her entire life begins to spiral out of control from this not so random encounter. The movie involves comedy elements that are mixed with crime and drama elements.moreless
