Fakers is a 2004 British crime comedy directed by Richard Jones. In the film, con man Nick Edwards (Matthew Rhys) is in big trouble, he has one week to come up with $50,000, the money he owes to London gangster, Foster Wright (Art Malik), and no means of paying him. With a little luck, he comes across a famous artists' sketch and devises a scheme to come up with the cash before his deadline. Unfortunately, he cannot carry out his clever plan on his own, so he approaches sexy Eve Evans (Kate Ashfield) to help him meet his goal. Eve's brother, Tony Evans (Tom Chambers), is a fantastic sketch artist and his participation is essential to the con. Eventually, the three devise a plan where they will sell forged copies of the artwork to several galleries to raise the cash Nick desperately needs. With a quickly approaching deadline and a plan with so many variables, is it possible to raise the cash fast enough to protect Nick?moreless
