Falling Star is the story of Bobby Star (Adam Pascal), who is desperately trying to hold on to the fame he gained as a boy-band star. The only work his agent Murray (William Wise) can find for him is a simple week-long gig at the first glatt kosher hotel/casino in the world, which is named the Mazel Hotel. All the luxuries of the superstar life Bobby is used to are now gone. His TV turns off for the Sabbath and his cell phone is taken because of it too. The beloved Grey Goose vodka he drinks regularly is taken away only to be replaced by Manischewitz. This blonde gentile has entered a world where he appears to have nothing in common with anyone around him. However, that changes when the hotel owner's daughter, Rebekka, (Amy Davidson) comes into the storyline since she has had a crush on Bobby for years. She is about to be married to Ty (Dean Edwards), a rabbi and janitor, who is able to teach Bobby that his music isn't that different from Jewish soul music.moreless
