Falling Up is a 2009 romantic comedy by director David M. Rosenthal, who also co-wrote the movie with Joseph M. Smith. When Henry O'Shea (Joseph Cross), a nursing student, is forced to quit school following the death of his father, he needs a job. It just so happens that the position of doorman at an elite New York City apartment is available and Henry is qualified for the job. He takes it on, expecting a fairly simple job with honest work. What he does not expect, is to fall in love with one of the building's upper crust tenants. Nor does Scarlett Dowling (Sarah Roemer) expect herself to fall for the new doorman. But life does not always go as expected, as the two soon learn. While they may be fine with their new, unconventional relationship, one thing is for sure: Scarlett's mother, Meredith (Mimi Rogers), is less than pleased.Falling Up is a light hearted romantic comedy, with a predictable storyline that neverless fills that occasional romantic comedy craving.
