Family Law, or Derecho De Familia, examines the balance between work and play in this riveting tale of self-realization. Ariel Perelman (Daniel Hender) has never been able to live up to the exorbitant standards of his mother and father, and as such has never really forged his own identity as he has always strived to please his parents. Ariel is an Argentinian lawyer and has high aspirations for his career; he is somewhat of a workaholic. This film centers on the bonds of a father and son as Ariel strives to maintain a healthy and loving relationship with his own son, Gaston (Eloy Burman). The movie paints an incredibly accurate portrait of the Argentinian middle class. Through the comparison of Ariel's relationship with his father, Bernardo Perleman (Arturo Goetz), he is able to gain a greater understanding of how to bond with his own son. Other cast and characters include Sandra (Julieta Diaz), Santoro (Eduardo Santoro) and Norita (Adriana Aizemberg).
