Fast Forward is a 1985 musical about a troupe of talented young dancers who come to New York to compete in a dance competition. Once the teens arrive from Sandusky, Ohio, they soon find that the Big Apple is a huge jump from their small town roots. An unfortunate event delays the troupe's audition by two weeks. The dancers must now survive the harsh streets of New York until they get their chance to dance. Broke, the dancers find inventive ways to raise money for food and a place to stay. With time on their hands, they enter a local dance-off and get upstaged by a local team of dancers. They soon realize they must step up their game if they intend to win the competition. Faced with a string of setbacks and disappointments, the dancers vow that their dancing will not be in vain. Faced with one last chance to impress, the group leaders Matt (John Scott Clough) and Michael (Don Franklin) take a gamble that will either doom the dancers or set them on the path to fame and fortune.moreless
