Fast Girl is the 2008 racing drama that tells the encouraging story of Alexis Johnstone (Mircea Monroe), a female race car driver, and the struggles that prevent her from achieving her dreams and claiming victory on the track. Alexis-who as an unapologetic tomboy, prefers "Alex"-has her heart set on becoming a professional race car driver like her father was. Neither the fact that Alex's father lost his life pursuing his own racing dream nor the constant resistance of her chauvinistic opponents prevents her from yearning for her dreams. Alex's Uncle Bill (Dwier Brown), the proprietor of the local race track, takes every action he can to prevent his niece from racing as he cannot bear to lose another loved one the way that he lost his own brother. With an unstoppable resolution to fulfill her goals, Alex fights her way towards an inevitable point where she must prove her own worth to continue her racing dreams.
