Fearless Frank is a campy action flick about a small town kid who travels to the city and becomes a crime fighter in the most unexpected way possible. Frank (Jon Voight) is about as simple a country boy as they come, but the lure of the big city is too great, and he's buttoning up his suit and tie and heading to Chicago. There he meets the enchanting Plethora (Monique van Vooren), but she belongs to The Boss (Lou Gilbert), and before Frank can profess his interest in the pretty girl, he is killed by The Boss's thugs. But Frank is far from finished in the windy city, as the Good Doctor (Severn Darden), a mad scientist of sorts, revives his body, and instills in him special powers, such as great speed, the ability to fly, and a bulletproof frame. Now called Fearless Frank, the small town boy fights criminal powers across the city, searching for ways into the heart of Plethora. But when the Good Doctor's evil brother creates False Frank, an equally powerful clone of the crime fighter, our hero may have met his match. Philip Kaufman writes and directs this comic book style film, which was Voight's first starring role.moreless
