La Femme Nikita is an action film directed by Luc Besson that follows the fall and rise of a young teenager whose ultimate downfall as an unwanted and washed up junkie leads her to become trained as an assassin. Nikita (Anne Parillaud) had been a nobody on the streets of Paris, where her main concerns were when her next fix was going to happen. When her involvement in an armed robbery turns into a police shootout with the death of a police officer by her own hand, Nikita is convicted of murder and imprisoned for life. Her time in jail though is cut short as she wakes up in a blank room with the news that she had the choice to either become an assassin working for the French Intelligence Agency or become a plot in a cemetery. Trained to kill, can Nikita make it in Paris without screwing this new life too?
