FernGully: The Last Rainforest is a 1992 animated musical film. Crysta (Samantha Mathis) is a fairy who has had no contact with humans. She believes them to have retreated in fear of Hexxus (Tim Curry), an evil spirit they have trapped in a tree. Crysta with her friend, Batty (Robin Williams) go in search of humans, but find trees marked with a red x. She then finds humans working as a destruction team tearing down the trees. Crysta then accidentally shrinks one of the humans named Zak (Jonathan Ward). Crysta takes Zak back to her village and he is not accepted by the community until he starts a huge dance party. Meanwhile, the tree Hexxus was trapped in has been torn down by the other humans and Hexxus has been released. Hexxus gains power from the pollution exhausted by the machine used to tear the trees down. As he moves the machine towards FernGully, Crysta, Zak, and Batty must prepare for the worst and try and stop Hexxus.moreless
