Ffolkes is a 1979 action adventure movie directed by Andrew V. McLaglen and starring Roger Moore, Anthony Perkins, Michael Parks, James Mason, George Baker, and David Hedison. The film surrounds a group of terrorists, led by Lou Kramer (Anthony Hopkins), who hijack a North Sea supply ship and threaten to destroy the oil rigs "Ruth," "Jennifer," and "Esther," unless the ransom demands of $25 million are met. Realizing that the British government has few other options, Admiral Brinsden (James Mason) and the Prime Minister (Faith Brook) enlist the help of an eccentric, counter-terrorism expert, Rufus Ffolkes (Roger Moore), to thwart the takeover. Having anticipated such a terrorist scenario, Ffolkes already has a plan in place. Leading a group of specially trained frogmen, Ffolks must use his expertise in salvage and underwater operations to gain control of the ship. With time quickly running out, the commandos must take out the bad guys before the hostages are killed and the oil rigs are destroyed.moreless
