Fierce Creatures is a cagey comedy that pits the animal instincts of a shrewd business manager against the soft-hearted crew that wants to save a local zoo. Rod McCain (Kevin Kline) is the wealthy and clever manager of Octopus, Inc., a multi-tiered conglomerate of businesses. One of the runts that isn't carrying its own weight is the London Marwood Zoo. McCain hires a new manager, Rollo Lee (John Cleese), who makes a last-ditch effort to make it profitable by implementing a new policy: Fierce Creatures. That is to say, only dangerous predators will remain in the zoo in hopes that people will come out to see them. However, the zoo staff rally around their default leader, Adrian Malone (Michael Palin), in hopes of stopping the tycoon. Even Rod's son, Vince (also Kline), joins the feud along with his partner, Willa Weston (Jamie Lee Curtis). Together the two seize control of the zoo and turn it into a seedy capitalistic enterprise. There's no telling what will come of the zoo, the animals, and the company. Only one thing's for sure: it's a jungle out there.moreless
