Fire Down Below follows an agent of the Environmental Protection Agency. When Jack Taggart is told his best friend, fellow EPA agent Frank Elkins, has been found dead, he knows who's responsible. Elkins had been in Kentucky investigating Orin Hanner, a businessman accused of dumping toxic chemicals illegally. Hanner is a powerful force in the small town of Jackson, Kentucky, and no one is willing to stand up against him for fear of retribution. Taggart goes to Jackson in an undercover mission to complete his friend's investigation, posing as a Christian relief organization's handyman. But with nearly the entire town being paid by Hanner to keep their mouths shut about his activities, will Taggart ever be able to get the proof he needs? Fire Down Below features an all-star cast, including Marg Helgenberger, Harry Dean Stanton, Levon Helm, as well as appearances by country music superstars Travis Tritt and Randy Jackson.
