Firepower is a classic 1979 action movie about a retired bounty hunter asked to find a billionaire drug lord hiding somewhere in the Caribbean. Perhaps the most powerful man in the world, the notorious recluse Karl Stegner (George Touliatos) is evading trial for a slew of charges, from fraud to corruption. When the doctor who exposed a faulty line of drugs that Stegner manufactured is found murdered, the slain doctor's wife, the enchanting and revenge hungry Adele Tasca (Sophia Loren) can't take it. She convinces the FBI to enlist Jerry Fanon, (James Coburn), an ex-assassin and former lover of Tasca, to hunt down Stegner and take him down. Fanon agrees, and calls upon his old criminal cohort Catlett (O.J. Simpson) to pull off the hardest job they've ever done, this time working for the good guys. Michael Winner directs Firepower, which includes plenty of over the top action to complement its outrageous plot and larger than life characters.
