Firewalker is a 1986 action adventure starring Chuck Norris, Louis Gossett Jr., Melody Anderson, and Will Sampson. The movie was directed by J. Lee Thompson, produced by Menahem Golam and Yorum Globus, and written by Norman Aladjem, Robert Gosnell and Jeffrey M. Rosenbaum. The film's plot centers on two soldiers of fortune, Max Donigan (Chuck Norris) and Leo Porter (Louis Gossett Jr.). Although Max and Leo have embarked on numerous adventures together, these wild adventures almost never result in any real notable gain for the duo. This time, Max and Leo have teamed up with a new parter, Patricia (Melody Anderson), and set off on an epic treasure hunt; they are in search of a mythical Central American temple that is supposedly filled with vast amounts of gold. On their quest for gold the treasure hunters must pass through many obstacles, including evil coyotes and the Firewalker, who uses the powers of his ancestors to guard the gold. This is the first film that featured Chuck Norris in a comedic role that mocked his action hero persona, and is noted for its wild bar fight that has Norris single-handedly beating up every male customer of a Mexican bar and, in the process, destroying the bar.moreless
