PG-13

First Knight is an adaptation of the popular legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. The film opens with Sir Malagant plotting to seize the throne from King Arthur. When Malagant attacks the carriage of Guinevere, she is rescued by Lancelot. Though the two are instantly attracted to each other, Guinevere has already sworn herself to King Arthur and resists Lancelot's advances. Both Guinevere and Lancelot then proceed to Arthur's court at Camelot, where Lancelot wins a competition whose prize is a kiss from Guinevere. Arthur is impressed by both Lancelot's courage in rescuing Guinevere and his skill as a knight and, subsequently, asks Lancelot to his Round Table. Lancelot accepts the honor, though he still pines for Guinevere in secret. Eventually, both Lancelot's and Guinevere's love for Arthur and each other is tested when Malagant raises an army and attempts to take Camelot by force.
