First Man in Space is a science fiction horror movie about a test pilot who attempts an outerspace mission only to return to Earth as a blood-thirsty monster. Arrogant, hot-shot test pilot Lt. Dan Prescott (Bill Edwards) is chosen to pilot the Y-12 craft into outer space. Known for not following orders, Prescott exceeds them once again when he continues to climb his aircraft instead of leveling off. After losing control of the aircraft, he jettisons and passes through a cloud of strange meteor dust. After sifting through the wrecked vessel, the parachute is found but there is no sign of Prescott. In the meantime, something breaks into the local blood bank and relieves them of their blood supply. First cattle, then humans are found with their throats ripped out and drained of blood. Prescott's brother Commander Charles "Chuck" Prescott and Dr. Paul Von Essen (Carl Jaffe) have a theory that the crash and the killings are connected. Believing that Prescott is the culprit, the duo must devise a way end his killing spree.moreless
