Flickering Lights is a 2000 Danish action comedy directed by Anders Thomas Jensen. In the film, four emotionally unstable childhood friends, Torkild (Soren Pilmark), Peter (Ulrich Thomsen), Arne (Mads Mikkelsen) and Stefan (Nikolai Lie Kaas) are busy working a big heist so they can pay off a huge debt they have with a local mobster. The men have led a life of crime and know nothing else. When the heist is accomplished, they have a change of heart and decide to keep the money and run off with it, before the mobster catches on. Their ill-thought plan is to run away to Barcelona and start over. They are well on their way to Barcelona when mechanical trouble forces them to pull over on a country road. None of them knows how to fix their issues, so they decide to hide out in an abandoned house. After weeks of hiding out, the criminals come to realize the countryside may be the perfect place to start over. Can these men leave their criminal past behind him, or will it inevitably catch up to them?moreless
