Flight To Mars is a 1951 Cinecolor science fiction film directed by Lesley Selander and written by Arthur Strawn. Steve Abbot (Cameron Mitchell), Dr. Jim Barker (Arthur Franz), Carol Stafford (Virginia Huston), Dr. Lane (John Litel), Prof. Jackson (Richard Gaines), and Astronomer # Two (Raymond Bond) make up the American expedition team sent to Mars. Much to their suprise, Mars is inhabitted by humanoid Martian people, who seem friendly at first. The Americans are welcomed by the beautiful princess of Mars, Alita (Marguerite Chapman), but she is hiding something from the team. The Martians secretly want to conquer Earth for its resources, and they intend to use the Earth-made rocket to carry out this plan. An underground Martian group aims to aid the team, but can the nerdy group of scientists and their news reporter work out a way to escape their Martian captors? What does fate hold in store for Earthlings, captured or not?
