Flying Saucer is a sci-fi thriller where the Americans and the Soviets are in a race against the forces of Mother Nature to get their hands on a secret weapon. The film opens in Alaska during the cold war. CIA Chief Hank Thorn (Russell Hicks) recruits a young playboy born and raised in Alaska, Mike Trent (Mikel Conrad), to investigate recent UFO sightings in his hometown. The chief sends CIA agent, Vee Langley (Pat Garrison), to protect Mike, and the two head north to his parents' cabin. They meet Hans (Hantz von Teuffen), a housesitter hired to take care of the place. Hans denies seeing any type of UFO, and Mike starts to believe that UFO's don't exist, until he sees one hovering over his cabin. Mike and Vee follow the flying saucer to Dr. Loughton's (Roy Engel) lab. They discover that the American inventor designed the saucer to sell to the Soviets. Mike and Vee also learn that Hans is a KGB agent. The two must now find a way to stop the mad inventor and destroy the saucer before Hans shows up with the cash to buy it.moreless
