Flynn is a movie chronicling the early life of Errol Flynn (Guy Pearce), the Hollywood actor who starred in popular films like The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Sea Hawk and Captain Blood. Born in Tasmania, Theodore Thomson Flynn is a mischievous young man attempting to overcome an unhappy childhood. Always looking for adventure, he is expelled for fighting at every school that he enrolls in and has an affair with a school laundress. As a teenager, Flynn travels to New Guinea to seek fortune in the gold mines. He becomes involved in a series of difficult situations, including a relationship with another man, murder, and identity theft. Flynn's luck finally changes when he manages to audition for a role in the docudrama "In the Wake of the Bounty," becomes famous, and embarks on a film career in America.
