Fog Island is a 1945 mystery thriller written by Pierre Gendron and directed by Terry O. Morse. It is based on a stage play written by Bernadine Angus. Leo Grainer (George Zucco) is a convicted criminal who upon release from prison flees with his step-daughter, Gail (Sharon Douglas), to a life of seclusion on the remote Fog island. Leo went to prison because his former business associates set him up for a crime he did not commit. Years of prison life has hardened Leo with dreams of revenge. Not only did he wrongly go to prison for embezzlement, he also suspects the associates guilty of murdering his wife. On the island, he develops a plan to get even by luring the associates to his island with promises of a hidden treasure. They arrive ready for a treasure hunt, but find themselves isolated, cut off from communication and facing an island filled with deadly traps. As the fog settles in, the situation becomes tense and deadly.moreless
