Follow the Prophet is a 2009 drama directed by Drew Ann Rosenberg and written by Robert Chimento. Set in a small town in Utah, this film features the happenings in a polygamist cult. On Avery Coldon's (Annie Burgstede) 15th birthday, her father, Rodger (David Conrad) decides to start coaching his daughter in what it will take to please her soon-to-be husband, the cult's Prophet, Brother John (Tom Noonan). Avery escapes her father with pictures of the rape and sexual acts. She is assisted by Colonel Jude Marks (Robert Chimento) and a female sheriff named Red (Diane Venora). They soon discover that Avery's younger sister, Mallory (Adair Powers), will take Avery's place as the Prophet's bride. They then decide that the secrets of this town must be exposed to protect these girls from the Prophet, their fathers and other sexual partners including their brothers and the teachings of this cult. Other actors include John Diehl, R. D. Call, Joan Sweeny and Steve Railsback.
