Foolproof is a Canadian action crime film, released in 2003, that was produced by Alliance Atlantis Communications and Ego Film Arts. The movie was written and directed by William Phillips, and stars Ryan Reynolds, Joris Jarsky, Kristin Booth, Sean Sullivan, Tara Slone and David Suchet. The movie depicts three friends Sam (Kristin Booth), Kevin (Ryan Reynolds) and Rob (Joris Jarsky), who play a game called 'foolproof.' 'Foolproof' involves creating hypothetical plans to breaking into various places, such as banks and safes. The trio, however, does not actually plan on really burglarizing anywhere, their plans are purely theoretical. However, things go wrong when the team's plan to burglarize a jewelry company is stolen by super villain Leo Gillette (David Suchet). Gillette actually wants to carry out the jewelry heist using the trios plan and their help. As they do not steal, the trio does not want to aid Gillette, but he has other ideas and blackmails the trio into committing the heist.
