For Roseanna, also known as Roseanna's Grave, is a 1997 romantic drama directed by Paul Weiland. Marcello (Jean Reno) and Roseanna (Mercedes Ruehl) are a happily married Italian couple who live in a small village. Unfortunately, Roseanna is suffering from a terminal heart condition and may only have a few weeks to live. Marcello tries to hide his devastation over his wife's impending death by making each day special for her. Roseanna tells Marcello that her dying wish is to be buried next to her daughter in the village church graveyard. Marcello thinks her last request will be easy to fulfill; unfortunately it is not. The graveyard is very small and cannot expand because the neighboring landowner, Capestro (Luigi Diberti), will not sell the church any of his property. There are several other terminal villagers and Marcelo worries that the graveyard could run out of room. How will he guarantee his wife a spot next to her daughter?
