1978
Rating:

Force 10 from Navarone is a 1978 World War II drama, and unofficial sequel to the classic Guns of Navarone, that combines nail-biting suspense and rousing action sequences in equal measure. Mallory and Miller are relaxing in a convalescence hospital after their recent successful mission to destroy the Guns of Navarone. They are called upon to return to the battle front in Yugoslavia, where the Partisan forces are suffering heavy losses due to a traitor in their midst. An American team headed by Captain Barnes is also sent along. Once in Yugoslavia, Mallory's team set about contacting the Partisans and unearthing the treacherous spy among their number. They also learn that a massive invasion is imminent from the German side of the River Neretva, and the only way to stop it is by sabotaging a dam further upriver, the idea being that the sudden blast of flood water will wash away a bridge vital to the German attack.
